To celebrate 25 years of providing exceptional pediatric care, The Arnold Palmer Medical Center Foundation engaged BIGEYE to assist in the creative execution of a signature fundraising event with the tagline “Rock Star Kids. Rock Solid Care.”

With world-renowned and beloved attendees including Arnold Palmer himself and country music superstar Darius Rucker expected, BIGEYE was inspired to generate maximum enthusiasm for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Employing industry expertise in hospital advertising, BIGEYE crafted an event that would speak to this unique celebration of Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children’s ever-present commitment to the community.
To provide guests with a truly memorable experience, Orlando’s Hard Rock Live was selected as the location. Focusing on the exclusive live performance by Darius Rucker, BIGEYE’s creative team produced a mood board around the idea of “upscale Nashville meets West Coast glamour.”
This theme of “Nashville Glam” and its supporting stylistic concepts were infused into every element, from the invitations to attendee lanyards to the venue’s decor.
“We chose a tall headline font to embrace a celebrity persona, and paired it with a slab serif to add a touch of country. Bringing these two worlds together made an upscale, but down home and welcoming statement.”

As the theming process continued, it was determined that the messaging should remain lighthearted and celebratory, and consistently reference the Nashville Glam theme: “Live it up.” “Rock star kids. Rock solid care.” BIGEYE conceptualized copy that included a mix of the ideas unearthed during several strategic brainstorming sessions and celebrated 25 years of advancements made by Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.

We selected a simple guitar pick to serve as the primary event iconography. Our designers and the stakeholders liked the simplicity and relatability of this strumming tool familiar to musicians and non-musicians alike.
The Arnold Palmer “gumby” symbol was paired with the guitar pick to marry the organization and the event.
Ultimately, the guitar pick evolved into the central image of the event, and the logo was not only translated onto all supplemental collateral pieces, but carried over to the event’s decor. To further solidify the moodscape, confetti, guitar pick gobo lights onstage, and imposed over event photography were seamlessly incorporated.
The landing page encapsulated the mission of the event – to showcase the hospital’s impact on children’s healthcare – using powerful, carefully selected images of children to share their stories with donors and event guests. Built on a WordPress platform, the landing page was purposefully engineered to easily accommodate ongoing updates.
BIGEYE also designed other components to support the theme, including digital “save the date” cards and print invitations. What’s more, functionality was incorporated into the landing page for the collection of RSVP responses and the accepting of donations.
With significant expertise in healthcare video production, our team was able to develop a heartwarming piece that conveyed the overwhelmingly positive impact that Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children has had on the communities it serves.
After visiting the hospital, we knew that using child patients as the “celebrities” in the video and incorporating the environment’s rhythms and beats (footsteps, heartbeats, etc.) along with the classic Happy Birthday tune would strike an emotional chord, so to speak.
Proudly boasting a legacy of exceptional care and service 25 years in the making, Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children entrusted BIGEYE to leverage our expertise in creative, strategy, web development, branding, and video production to craft an unforgettable event. Attendees experienced “a rockin’ good time” and the gathering raised record-setting charitable contributions to further the work of this impressive organization.
